2017 found Poly Enterprises expanding, not only in terms of unprecedented sales growth but continued outreach into the community.

It was a year of celebrations as well. Birthdays and anniversaries.

It was a year of company barbecues, family fun days, the historical 2017 Eclipse outing and amazing Christmas Party with our first ever Ugly Sweater contest.

It was a year of supporting great causes like participating in the Relay For Life to help fight Cancer, the stellar John Jarrard Foundation concert /auction and our continual volunteerism to  the Georgia Mountain Food Bank by gathering donations, delivering much needed food and personal items and creating a promotional video. We were, in fact, so honored to be awarded the Georgia Mountain Food Bank sponsor of the Year!

It was a year of customization too. It seemed that almost every custom mat we produced involved custom shapes to frame the well known logos.

It was a year of adding more and more great companies to our stable of clients as well as engage with new and old clients at PPAI, Global Shop and MORE.

It was a year of an exciting expansion creating a massively better environment for our Poly Family and increased production and efficiency for our beloved customers.

It was a year of our East Hall Interns and working to instill in them a strong work ethic and creative spirit.

It was a year of Poly TV. We shot training videos, informational videos and more often times using our drone to add just the right amount of flair.

We love what we do and we love our customers. As 2017 ends we look forward to 2018 and to making a difference every chance we get.

Have a Safe and Happy New Year!

Yesterday was a Monumental DAY! We got to deliver the food and household items that we have been collecting and packaging. We met up with The Georgia Mountain Food Bnk and headed out to distribute the packages. Along the way we found out some sobering facts like 1 in 5 adults in Hall County and 1 in 4 children go to bed hungry or have to substitute other funds (like transportation costs, electricity etc) for food each and every day. We also learned that The Georgia Mountain Food Bank through their hard work delivered 4 million pounds of food last year. Poly Enterprises is so proud to be an ACTIVE member of this effort.

Again, we want to thank all the contributors here at Poly and a special thanks to Regions Bank, Arrow Lines Inc, Turner, Wood, & Smith Insurance Agency, Calhoun Plastics & Chemicals, Inc, Wilheit Packaging, Ryerson metals Norcross Ga. and Preferred Plastics (in Gainesville) for stepping up for such a GREAT CAUSE!

We here at Poly Enterprises are so absolutely honored to be recognized as this year’s 2015 Industry Of The Year Small Business Manufacturer (1-50 employees). The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce hosted an Appreciation Luncheon and it was simply an awesome day! We, along with our fellow manufacturers Mugele of America Inc. and Marel Stork are featured in the Gainesville Times!

Here is an exert from the GHCC honors article for Poly Enterprises: “The winner in the small industry category was just under the maximum employee mark of 50.  Poly Enterprises has 49 employees.  Greg Ours, President and Owner, talked about the process of buying and moving the company to Gainesville from Los Angeles. ‘I built an apartment in our warehouse (in Los Angeles).  I would get on a plane on Monday, and I would fly home on Fridays, and I did that for five years.  I never could have done it without the support of my lovely wife,’ Ours said. Poly Enterprises is a molded vinyl manufacturer that produces physical educational flooring, mats, counter mats and bar mats.”

Poly Enterprises has been proud to support JJF since 2009. The JJF Concert on the lawn of Brenau University is one of the highlights of our participation. We look forward to the songs and stories that fill the summer air. Not only has Poly supported JFF with financial support but with supplying products for their auctions.

Over the past 13 years, the John Jarrard Foundation has grown from an annual concert to a regionally-recognized organization supporting songwriters and a number of great causes. Beginning in 2000, the John Jarrard Foundation was established in the memory of our dear friend, and Georgia Music Hall of Fame member, John Jarrard.

The John Jarrard Foundation, originally known as the Bruce Burch & Friends Honor John Jarrard Concert, was established as an annual event to raise money for charities local to North Georgia. Over the course of time, this event has grown to become one of the premier songwriting events in the state of Georgia and furthermore, the Foundation has grown from one concert to multiple events throughout the year. From First Verse, a songwriting education program for students in the state of Georgia, to songwriting concerts throughout the Southeast and financial support to the charities closest to John’s heart, the John Jarrard Foundation is built on music and love.

The John Jarrard Foundation is a non-profit organization with proceeds going to a permanent endowment fund in John’s name established at the North Georgia Community Foundation. Proceeds benefit local charities, including the Good News Clinics, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Hall County, Georgia Mountain Food Bank Fund and one of John’s favorite causes, Good News at Noon Shelter.

Poly Enterprises is proud to announce a recent partnership with Lanier Technical College and their Machine Tool Technology Department. The staff at Poly Enterprises worked closely with the Department Head Jim Mealor and the MTT students to create an aluminum mold to be used in production at Poly Enterprises. It was a great “On Hands” experience for the students in creating a tool that was designed to be in a regular manufacturing environment. Associates Heath Kirby and Robb Curtius of Poly Enterprises were instrumental in making this happen and providing an unforgettable experience for the Lanier Tech students.
