Seamlessly
combining simplicity with elegance, the Copenhagen floor mat
is one of our sleekest mats ever. Although Copenhagen provided
us with a mat design requiring little alteration, our challenge
lied in meeting strict FTC (Federal Trade Commission) regulations.
The dimensions of the warning label, as pictured below, had
to meticulously comply with federal specifications. We achieved
this by calculating exactly how much extra dimension we'd have
to add to account for shrink. U.S. Tobacco Company also felt
it would be extremely important to include their own label in
the design, reminding that their product is not to be sold to
minors. It was pivotal that both labels pop out visually, and
we made that happen.
